A leading global law firm is looking for a IT Learning Team Assistant. The IT Learning Team Assistant works with the IT Learning Management team (the Global IT Learning Manager, and two IT Learning Managers) provides administrative support to the Global IT Learning team ensuring that a professional and efficient service is provided to the firm. The Information Technology department is responsible for the high-quality implementation, provision and support of all IT services within the firm. Located in brand new offices in Johannesburg you will be part of our clients new, state-of-the-art Global Business Service Centre and join a team dedicated to providing the highest levels of service to their 7000+ colleagues globally. The IT team comprises a diverse range of specialists from service desk to engineering and architecture roles. Manage the schedules of the Global IT Learning team.
Plan and organise the schedules of classroom and WebEx-based training with sign off from the IT Learning Managers.
Schedule training and keep accurate records of who has attended training globally using the relevant Learning Management Systems.
Arrange cover for IT trainers in the event of absence and communicate absences to relevant parties.
Work with the Training Project Analysts and the IT Learning Managers, and Global IT Learning Manager to determine rollout and training schedules and resolving resourcing issues. Participate in project meetings where scheduling input is required.
Other Scheduling responsibilities.
Provide administrative and scheduling support for all services offered by IT Learning Training, including practice stream specific training, appointments and ad hoc training.
Ensure all IT training records are kept up to date and keep a record of trainers' skills.
Provide administrative support for the Learning Technologies Manager, Project Training Analysts and Training Analysts.
Carry out all administration relating to the IT Learning Management team.
Other Administration responsibilities.
Produce weekly reports with a progress update (highlighting any completed deliverables or achievements), details of all training delivered, feedback received and any issues encountered that need to be followed up on or escalated.
Draft content and send out monthly technology updates and regular project related communications and bulletins.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the two Learning Management Systems.
Assist in the creation of training material and production of Virtual Tutor materials.
A-Levels or equivalent.
Experience in providing administrative support to a team of people.
Experience of scheduling training/calendars in a team.
Good knowledge of MS Office (ideally MS Office 2010), in particular Outlook.
Experience using an LMS.
