SUMMARY

A leading South African financial institution is looking for a Regional Manager: Private Bank. This role requires you to proactively lead and manage the Private bankers by embedding a sales culture with a focus on acquisition, retention and expansion thus optimising the economic value of clients. You will be required to manage exceptional quality service delivery to clients, risk, compliance and strategic objectives, driving efficiency and productivity, planning and implementing change initiatives and performance plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Effectiveness And Productivity
Manage and assist the sales team with acquisition, retention and expansion on new and existing clients, offering complex client solutions through tailor made offerings and products to suit the client’s needs.
Responsible to embrace and embed the following Sales processes as per business as usual activities, Power hours, utilisation of potential per banker, practise monitor and portfolio performance within the sales force.
Responsible for management of the pipeline and cross sales of all existing transactions in driving the execution thereof in the shortest time possible and to manage the potential business outflow. Set specific sales and financial performance targets aligned to the Business Unit's financial targets.
Develop a business plan that will bring about sustainable balance sheet growth. Manage and monitor the Client Contact Plans per portfolio according to the CARE Strategy.
Other Sales Effectiveness and Productivity responsibilities.
Business Implementation And Change Management
Manage the levels of performance and service standards that need to be achieved by translating the Business Unit’s strategy into achievable objectives and contracting these through the Performance Development process for the team.
Facilitate the improvement of the customer experience by ensuring the sales team provides a world class service to all its customers and utilise Customer satisfaction analysis to ensure that trends are identified and actions plans are formulated to optimize client service.
Monitor and manage the adherence to SLA’s in order to maintain and improve on turnaround times to clients. Influence the development, implementation and embedding of tactical and strategic business change initiatives on an ongoing basis.
Other Business Implementation and Change Management responsibilities.
People Management
Create and lead an effective Sales team in order to realise the required financial upliftment and sales culture.
Instil and manage a High Performance team by embedding formal performance development plans, mentoring, coaching and training in line with the HR performance policies and calendars.
Implement an effective talent management framework within area of responsibility by identifying and nurturing talent. Ensure effective Human Capital management from an attraction, development, management and retention perspective.
Adopt a holistic approach to ways of working within your team by embedding the "One Company" strategy. Create an effective workforce and recruitment demand plans to ensure current and future sustainability.
Other People Management responsibilities.
Customer Experience
Take accountability for the effective resolution of customer complaints by dealing directly with clients where there is an escalation of a client query or complaint.
Review the monthly complaints and queries trend analysis report as provided by the Customer Care Programme Resolution Centre to identify and implement action plans to prevent recurring issues.
Analyse the weekly and/or monthly rework reports of common errors received from the Sales Support, Banking Administration, Generic Banking Products and Credit Lending areas to identify opportunities for the up skilling of Private Bankers.
Entrench the Private Bank Customer Experience Proposition by engaging with top clients as identified from the Private Banker's portfolio.
Risk And Control Environment
Drive regulatory compliance of the Sales Team by maintaining a view of the end-to-end process fulfilment within the Private Bank environment in collaboration with adjacent business areas within the value chain.
Check that staff completes compulsory compliance training to minimise the risks by verifying completed training statistics and through the creation of an environment of continuous learning.
Discuss with staff and ensure that the risk framework of all policies, procedures and standard guidelines are understood within the business process.
Other Risk and Control Environment responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential : B-degree in Finance, Commerce or Banking (NQF level no. 6) An appropriate qualification at NQF level 6 in line with new FAIS Fit and Proper requirements (60 Credits).
Essential: 5 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry. Three (3) years must have been in a Sales and Relationship Management environment. Relevant working experience in driving targets in a sales environment. Proven track record of above in a sales environment will be advantageous.
Preferred: Equivalent qualification in Financial Management or Certified Financial Planning (CFP).
